What are SUVAT Equations?
- SUVAT is a handy acronym to remember formulae that can describe uniformly accelerated motion.
- These equations are:

- Where:
s = displacement
v = final velocity
u = inital velocity
t = time
a = acceleration
- These equations cannot be used for motion where acceleration is not a constant value!
Uses of SUVAT
- SUVAT equations are very valuable, and form the basis for many other physical formulae.
- Each equation only needs 3 different variables, meaning you can calculate everything you need even if you are missing one value.
- It's good practice to have these equations memorized, although it's possible to derive any particular equation as long as you know the others.
