What is Electrical Power?
- Electrical power is the power dissipated by a resistor in an electrical circuit.

- Thus power is calculated as:

- These are obtained by substituting voltage with IR, and substituting current with V/R respectively.
- Using these formulae, the power dissipated in any single resistor can be found.
- The total power dissipated is the product of total current and total voltage.
- Total resistance is used for P = I²R and P = V²/R instead.
