What are Series?
- A series is simply a sequence where all the terms have been summed up.
- For example a sequence could be 1,2,3,4,5...
- Whereas a series would be 1+2+3+4+5+...
- Like sequences, series can also be finite or infinite.
Harmonic Series
- Series have many applications, such as the harmonic series, which is a specific series defined as the sum of all the reciprocals of positive integers.

Series Notation
- The symbol sigma, Σ, is used as indictor of a sum of multiple different things.
- It is used in sequences and series to show that all the values of that sequence are summed together.

Convergent and Divergent Series
- Infinite series can either converge or diverge.
- If the sum of all the values reaches a specific value, then the series is said to be convergent.
- On the other hand, as series whose sum goes to infinity or negative infinity is said to be divergent.
