- The October Revolution was an uprising by the Bolsheviks in Russia during October of 1917 where the Bolsheviks stormed the Winter Palace.
- There was minor fighting and generally many people didn’t die.
- The Tsar’s family was captured and killed to prevent them from rallying up a counterforce or being the figurehead of an opposing revolution.
- Sometime after the October Revolution there was a civil war in Russia between the Reds and Whites, until 1922.
- After which the Bolsheviks would be successful and gain control over Russia, starting the Soviet Union.
