Fascism

  • Fascism is an ideology that aligns closely with totalitarianism.
  • In fascism the state is usually controlled by a single person with the goal of uniting or bringing forth a “superior” race.
  • Fascist states are often totalitarian dictatorships, where any opposition is forbidden and oppressed.
  • Fascist states are usually also militarist, as their ideas of expansion necessitate a powerful and aggressive military.
  • Fascist states also follow populist ideals.
  • For example Bennito Mussolini’s Fascist Italy and Adolf Hitler’s Nazi Germany.
