This is because poetry functions more as a vessel that allows for thoughts and memories of the reader to flourish, as only that can fully capture the complexity of the human experience.
And in some cases where the poem does not resonate with the reader, it often ends up feeling oversimplified or unfulfilling, as the proper feelings cannot be captured within the mind of a disconnected audience.
However, when a poem is not only well-crafted, but also relatable and intertwined with the reader's experiences themselves, then it can truly and fully capture how it feels to be human.
