Safety in Laboratory
1. Outdoor coats cannot be worn in the chemistry class.
2. Always wear safety goggles and a laboratory jacket.
3. Long hair should be tied up when working with open flames.
4. Don't wear contact lenses in class.
5. Listen to instructions and follow them.
6. Read the warning labels for chemicals.
7. Work calmly and according to instructions.
8. Agree which table you are going to work on.
9. Be sure to mark in the containers what they contain.
10. Write down your findings.
11. You can't eat or drink anything in the chemistry lab, including chewing gum.
12. Use a white table cloth, which can be found in the back of the class.
13. Put the waste in their designated containers, not down the sink or in the trash.
14. Ask if you aren't sure of what to do.
15. Wash the dishes and dry them.
16. Wash your hands.
17. Disinfect your goggles after use.
18. Clean your desk after the lesson.
